Here’s how to store USDT (Tether) on Ledger Live.

Please download the last update of Ledger Live Application:
1. Ledger Live for Windows 10/11
2. Ledger Live for MAC
3. Ledger Live for Android
Step #1: Start By Setting Up Ledger Device
- Create a Personal Identity Number (PIN) on your Ledger device which can be Stax, Nano X or Nano S for example.
- You should jot down the 24-word recovery phrase that is displayed and keep it safe.
Step #2: Install the Ledger Live App
- Start by downloading the Ledger Live app. You can download this app from Ledger’s official website.
- Install the Ledger Live app on your mobile device or personal computer.
Step #3: Install a Blockchain App
You should know that USDT is operational on a number of blockchains including Tron, Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain. You should choose the blockchain you want and then install the app of the blockchain you have selected. To do this, you should:
- Launch Ledger Live then scroll to the Manager tab.
- Carry out a search for the blockchain app of your choosing. For example, Ethereum for ERC-20 USDT.
- Click or tap the Install button and your preferred blockchain app will be added to your respective Ledger device.
Step #4: Proceed to Add a Blockchain Account
- Visit the Ledger Live app and scroll to the Accounts tab.
- Click or tap on the Add Account option.
- Choose the blockchain that stores your USDT. For example, Ethereum or Tron.
- Launch the blockchain app when you are instructed to do so on your Ledger device.
- The Ledger Live app will then have your account synchronized with the blockchain.
- Provide a name for your account.
- Click or tap the Add Account option.
Step #5: Proceed to Receive USDT
- Choose the blockchain account you recently added by scrolling to the Accounts tab to select the blockchain.
- Click or tap on the Receive option.
- Launch the blockchain app (for example, Tron or Ethereum) on your respective Ledger device when you are instructed to do so.
- A wallet address will be displayed in the Ledger Live app. You should copy this wallet address.
- Confirm that this wallet address is accurate by comparing it to the address available on your Ledger device.
- You can make use of this address if you want to withdraw USDT from one exchange or another. You can also share the wallet address with someone that wants to send USDT.
Step #6: Ratify the Transaction
- Pass through the several network confirmation huddles and you will be able to access the sent USDT in your wallet address on the Ledger Live app.
- Now your USDT is securely and safely stored on your respective Ledger device.
Notes:
- Note that USDT is ultimately a token. So make sure that you accurately send out USDT to the right blockchain for example, BEP-20 for Binance Smart Chain, TRC-20 and ERC-20 for Tron and Ethereum blockchains respectively.
- You will pay Gas fees for sending out USDT. Theis gas fee will be paid out in the blockchain’s native token. For example, BNB native token for Binanace Smart Chain or ETH native token for Ethereum.
- Do not share the 24-word recovery phrase that you wrote down.
