How to Withdraw Crypto from Robinhood to your Ledger wallet

This guide will walk you through the process of securely transferring your cryptocurrency from Robinhood to your Ledger hardware wallet using Ledger Live.

 Withdrawing funds from an exchange? Make sure to select the correct network!

When transferring crypto from an exchange to your Ledger wallet, ensure that the withdrawal network chosen on the exchange matches your account’s network. Selecting the incorrect network could lead to your crypto assets not being visible in your Ledger Live accounts. 

Please download the last update of Ledger Live Application:

1. Ledger Live for Windows 10/11

2. Ledger Live for MAC

3. Ledger Live for Android

Before You Start

  • Ensure you have the latest version of Ledger Live installed.
  • Set up your crypto accounts in Ledger Live.

Step 1: Generate a Receive Address in Ledger Live

  1. Click the Receive tab in the menu on the left-hand side.
  2. Choose the account to credit.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Connect and unlock your Ledger device. Open the crypto asset app as instructed and click Continue.
  5. Read the on-screen instructions and click on Verify to display an address on your device.
  6. Verify that the address shown on your screen is the same as the address shown in Ledger Live. For optimal security, you should copy and send the address to the sender of the transaction. Then verify with the sender of the transaction that the address received matches the one shown on your device.
  7. Approve the address on your device if it is the same. The receive modal cannot be closed until the address is rejected or approved on the device.
  8. Copy the address or you can show QR code to share it with the sender of the transaction. Carefully check that the address does not change after you copy and paste it. It is recommended to click Re-verify after you’ve entered the address somewhere else to double-check it with your hardware wallet.

Step 2: Withdraw from Robinhood to Ledger

  1. Open the Robinhood app on your iOS or Android device.
  2. Tap the Crypto icon at the bottom of the Robinhood app window.
  3. Tap the account you wish to send funds from.
  4. Tap Send.
  5. Paste the wallet address or scan QR code from Ledger Live.
  6. Enter the amount of crypto you’d like to send.
  7. Tap Review, then Accept and Continue, and finally Submit.
  8. Verify the transaction using your biometrics, Face ID, or PIN.
  9. Tap Done to complete the process.

 Security Tip

Always send a small amount first. Then verify that the transaction was properly received by the recipient address before proceeding to send larger amounts.

After the Transfer

Once the transaction is processed and confirmed on the blockchain, the balance will appear in your Ledger Live account. The time this takes can vary depending on the cryptocurrency and network congestion.
