How to Store TRON on Ledger Live

Here’s a guide on how to store TRON on Ledger Live using your Ledger device.

Please download the last update of Ledger Live Application:

1. Ledger Live for Windows 10/11

2. Ledger Live for MAC

3. Ledger Live for Android

Step #1: Set Up Your Respective Ledger Device

  • You should start by creating a PIN in order to initialize your respective Ledger device. 
  • Jot down and keep your 24-word recovery phrase safe.

Step #2: Download and Install Ledger Live App

  • Once you download Ledger Live to your computer or mobile device, you should install the app. 

Step #3: Proceed to Install the TRON (TRX) App

  • Launch the Ledger Live app, scroll then click or tap on the Manager tab.
  • Have your respective Ledger device (Stax, Nano X, or Nano S) connected to your mobile phone or personal computer.
  • Use the search window in the Manage tab to find TRON (TRX) under the app Catalog.
  • Click or tap on Install in order to add the TRON (TRX) app to your respective Ledger device. 

Step #4: Proceed to Add a TRON Account

  • Scroll to the Accounts tab on Ledger Live app. 
  • Click or tap Add Account.
  • From the drop-down menu, choose TRON (TRX) then click or tap Continue.
  • Once prompted, launch the TRON app on your respective Ledger device.
  • Your TRON account will then be synchronized with the blockchain by the Ledger Live app.
  • Provide a name for your TRON account then click or tap Add Account.

Step #5: Proceed to Receive TRX

  • Open the Ledger Live app and scroll to the Accounts tab where you can select your TRON account.
  • Click or tap on the Receive option.
  • When prompted to do so, launch the TRON app on your respective Ledger device.
  • Copy out the wallet address shown in the Ledger Live app.
  • Be sure that the Ledger device wallet address corresponds with that displayed in the Ledger Live app.  
  • You can now share the wallet address with the person sending TRX. You can also withdraw TRX from any exchange.

Step #6: Ratify the Transaction

  • After TRX is received by your wallet address, you will be able to access it in your Ledger Live account once you scale through the series of network confirmations. 
  • Now TRX is securely and safely stored on your respective Ledger device.

Notes:

  • Transactions involving TRON require a comparatively low gas fee paid out in TRON. So be sure to keep a few TRON in your wallet at all times to cater for the transactional gas fees.
  • Whenever you want to transfer TRX to your Ledger wallet try to double or even triple-check the wallet address.
  • Keep your 24-word recovery phrase private and don’t disclose it to anyone.
