How to Store LINK on Ledger Live

Here’s how to store LInK (Chainlink) on Ledger Live with your choice of Ledger device. 

Please download the last update of Ledger Live Application:

1. Ledger Live for Windows 10/11

2. Ledger Live for MAC

3. Ledger Live for Android

Step #1: Download and Install the Ledger Live App

  • Launch the app after downloading in order to successfully complete the set up that includes the connection and configuration of your preferred Ledger device. 

Step #2: Initiate the Set Up of Your Preferred Ledger Device

  • Use Bluetooth or a standard USB cable to connect your respective Ledger device to your mobile phone or personal computer. 
  • Unlock your Ledger device using your created PIN.

Step #3: Have the Ethereum App Installed

  • Launch the Ledger Live app and scroll to the Manager tab section. 
  • In the Manager tab, navigate to app catalog where you will search for and find the Ethereum app.
  • Click or tap the Install button beside the Ethereum app.
  • Make sure the Ethereum app has been successfully installed on your respective Ledger device. Note that this step is important because LINK functions on the Ethereum blockchain.

Step #4: Add Ethereum Account

  • Launch the Ledger Live app and navigate to the Accounts tab section.
  • Click or tap on the Add Account option.
  • Choose Ethereum from the drop-down menu displaying a host of tokens. 
  • Follow a set of prompts instructing you on how to launch the Ethereum app on your respective Ledger device.
  • After synchronization, give your account a name before clicking or tapping on Add Account.

Step #5: Proceed to Receive LINK Cryptocurrencies 

  • Launch the Ledger Live app then scroll to your added Ethereum account.
  • Click or tap the Receive button then connect your preferred Ledger device.
  • Launch the Ethereum app on your respective Ledger device to confirm the address.
  • Scan the QR code or copy out the address.
  • You can send your LINK tokens to the Ethereum address directly from a wallet or a crypto exchange.

Step #6: Ratify the Transaction 

  • Be patient and wait until the transaction has been ratified on the Ethereum blockchain.
  • You can check your LINK tokens on your added Ethereum account in the Ledger Live app.

Step #7: Keep Your Ledger Safe and Secure

  • After using your Ledger device, make sure that you disconnect it.
  • Keep your recovery phrase secure and safe from intruders by not sharing or disclosing it to any individual.
  • Now your LINK tokens are securely and safely stored on your alesher Live account using your Ledger device.
