How to Store LEO on Ledger Live

The UNUS SED LEO (LEO) tokens are actually ERC-20 cryptocurrencies that are operational on Ethereum network.

The step-by-step guide below will show you how to store LEO on Ledger Live in a safe and secure way using your preferred Ledger device.

Please download the last update of Ledger Live Application:

Step #1: Download and Install Ledger Live App

  • The first thing you need to do is to download and install the Ledger Live app and you can get the latest version of this app on Ledger’s official website.
  • Next, follow all on-screen prompts to set up the Ledger Live app.

Step #2: Initiate the Set Up of Your Preferred Ledger Device 

  • Start by connecting your preferred Ledger device  – which could be Nano S, Stax, or Nano X to your mobile device or personal computer using either Bluetooth or a standard USB cable. 
  • Next, unlock your Ledger device using your PIN code.

Step #3: Install Ethereum App

  • Launch Ledger Live then scroll to the Manager tab.
  • Under the app Catalog, you should search for and find the Ethereum app.
  • Click or tap on the Install button which can be seen beside the Ethereum app.
  • Be sure to check that the Ethereum app has successfully installed on your preferred Ledger device.

Step #4: Add Ethereum Account 

  • Launch Ledger Live and scroll to the Accounts tab section.
  • Click or tap Add Account.
  • From the drop-down menu, choose Ethereum (ETH) from the list of supported tokens.
  • When prompted, launch the Ethereum app on your preferred Ledger device. 
  • Your account will be created when Ledger Live is synchronized with the Ethereum blockchain. 
  • Provide a name for your account then click or tap on the Add Account option.

Step #5: Proceed to Receive LEO Cryptocurrencies 

  • Launch Ledger Live and click or tap on your Ethereum account to select it.
  • Click or tap on the Receive button then connect your respective Ledger device.
  • From your preferred Ledger device, launch the Ethereum app.
  • Scan the QR code or copy out the Ethereum wallet address that is shown in Ledger Live. 
  • Proceed to send out LEO tokens from a different wallet or an exchange to the Ethereum wallet address displayed.

Step #6: Observe LEO Cryptocurrencies in Ledger Live

  • After confirming the transaction you will be able to view the LEO cryptocurrencies on your newly added Ethereum account in Ledger Live.
  • In the event that you are unable to view the LEO tokens, you can proceed to enable the cryptocurrency display by scrolling to your Ethereum account, clicking or tapping on the Add Token or Manage Tokens option. You then search for LEO and when it appears, you will be able to enable the token so it can be viewed.

Step #7: Protect Your Ledger Device

  • Whenever you are done using your Ledger device always endeavor to disconnect it from your mobile device or personal computer. 
  • Keep your recovery phrase backup key secure and safe at all times.
  • Do not share or disclose the location of your recovery phrase to anyone.
  • Now your LEO tokens have been safely stored in Ledger Live through your added Ethereum account and under the secure protection of your preferred Ledger device.
