How to Store KAS on Ledger Live

As of January 2025 – KAS (Kaspa) is now compatible with Ledger hardware wallets, albeit not directly through Ledger Live. 

To ensure secure storage and management of your KAS tokens, you will need to pair your Ledger device with a compatible third-party wallet, such as Kaspa’s official KasVault solution. 

Please download the last update of Ledger Live Application:

1. Ledger Live for Windows 10/11

2. Ledger Live for MAC

3. Ledger Live for Android

Follow this simple step-by-step guide to get started.

Step #1: Set Up Your Ledger Device

  • Connect Ledger hardware wallet (e.g. Stax, Nano S, Nano S Plus, or Nano X) to a  computer or mobile device.
  • Ensure device’s firmware is up-to-date.

Step #2: Install Kaspa App via Ledger Live

  • Open Ledger Live and scroll to My Ledger tab. 
  • In app Catalog select the Kaspa app. 
  • Click or tap on the Install button to add Kaspa app to Ledger device.

Step #3: Access KasVault

  • Visit official KasVault web application at https://kasvault.io.

Step #4: Connect KasVault to Ledger Device

  • Select option to connect hardware wallet on KasVault website.
  • Follow on-screen instructions to establish connection between KasVault and Ledger device.

Step #5: Manage KAS Tokens

  • Use KasVault to send, receive, and manage KAS tokens securely.

Security Tips:

  • Always verify transaction details on Ledger device before confirming.
  • Keep Ledger device’s firmware and Kaspa app updated to latest versions.
  • Store recovery phrase securely and never share it with anyone.
