How to Store IOTA on Ledger Live

The simple guide below shows how you can store IOTA (MIOTA) tokens on Ledger Live using your Ledger hardware wallet and a third-party wallet. 

Please download the last update of Ledger Live Application:

1. Ledger Live for Windows 10/11

2. Ledger Live for MAC

3. Ledger Live for Android

Step #1: Set up Ledger Live

Step #2: Install IOTA App 

  • Launch Ledger Live then navigate to the Manager tab.
  • Search for and find the IOTA app in the app Catalog section.
  • Click or tap the Install button beside the IOTA app to install the app on your preferred Ledger device (Stax, Nano S, or Nano X).

Step #3: Use a Compatible and Reliable Third-Party Wallet

  • IOTA is an ERC-20 token and not a supported native token on Ledger Live. Therefore, you need a third-party wallet in storing IOTA on Ledger Live using your Ledger hardware wallet.
  • While on the official IOTA website, download the Firefly Wallet. 

Step #4: Connect Ledger to Firefly

  • Launch IOTA app on your preferred Ledger hardware wallet.
  • Connect your preferred Ledger device to the Firefly Wallet and follow the on-screen prompts provided.

Step #5: Send IOTA

  • Transfer IOTA tokens to the generated Firefly address from an exchange or wallet.
  • Now your IOTA tokens are securely and safely stored on your Ledger hardware wallet through Firefly.
