As of January 2025, Filecoin (FIL) is supported by Ledger Live, enabling secure storage and management of FIL tokens using Ledger hardware wallets. 

Please download the last update of Ledger Live Application:

1. Ledger Live for Windows 10/11

2. Ledger Live for MAC

3. Ledger Live for Android

Here’s a step-by-step guide to store FIL on Ledger Live:

Step #1: Set Up Ledger Device

  • Connect Ledger hardware wallet (e.g. Stax, Nano X or Nano S Plus) to a computer or smartphone device.
  • Ensure device’s firmware is up-to-date.

Step #2: Install Ledger Live

Step #3: Install Filecoin App

  • Open Ledger Live and navigate to My Ledger tab.
  • Search for and find the Filecoin app in the app catalog section and click or tap on the Install button beside the app icon.
  • Ensure the Ledger device is unlocked while installing.

Step #4: Add Filecoin Account

  • Go to the Accounts tab in Ledger Live.
  • Click or tap on the Add Account tab then select Filecoin.
  • Confirm operation on Ledger device.

Step #5: Receive FIL Tokens

  • Open a Filecoin account in Ledger Live and click or tap the Receive button.
  • Copy Filecoin wallet address.
  • Use address to transfer FIL tokens from an exchange or another wallet.

Security Tips:

  • Verify wallet address on Ledger device before sharing or transferring funds.
  • Keep Ledger recovery phrase secure and offline.
  • Regularly update Ledger Live and device firmware for enhanced security.

Your FIL tokens are now securely stored and manageable through Ledger Live!
