Below is a step-by-step guide on how to store ETC (Ethereum Classic) on Ledger Live using your preferred Ledger device.

Please download the last update of Ledger Live Application:

1. Ledger Live for Windows 10/11

2. Ledger Live for MAC

3. Ledger Live for Android

Step #1: Start by Setting Up Your Preferred Ledger Device

  • Make sure your Ledger device (Stax, Nano S or Nano X) is set up with a unique PIN code and recovery phrase.
  • Safely store your exclusive recovery phrase.
  • Upgrade Ledger Live and your Ledger device firmware to the latest version.

Step #2: Install Ethereum Classic App

  • Open Ledger Live and go to the  Manager tab.
  • Select Ethereum Classic (ETC) in app catalog.
  • Click or tap on the Install button in order to install the app on your preferred Ledger device.

Step #3: Add Ethereum Classic Account

  • Go to the Accounts tab in Ledger Live.
  • Click or tap the Add account tab and select Ethereum Classic.
  • Follow prompts to add an Ethereum Classic account.

Step #4: Transfer Ethereum Classic to Ledger Account

  • Open wallet or exchange storing Ethereum Classic (ETC).
  • Start a transfer by copying the Ethereum Classic address from Ledger Live.
  • Paste the address onto the transfer section and complete the transaction. 

Step #5: Verify Transaction

  • Check Ethereum Classic account in Ledger Live to confirm receipt of ETC tokens.
  • Trace transaction using block explorer like Etherscan for Ethereum Classic.

Important information:

  • Secure recovery phrase and do not share it with anyone.
  • Your Ethereum Classic (ETC) tokens are now safely stored on your Ledger device.
