Note that DAI is available on Ethereum blockchain as an ERC-20 token. But you can store DAI on your Ledger device with Ledger Live and the Ethereum.

Step #1: Initialize the Setup of Your Preferred Ledger Device
- Make sure you have set up your preferred Ledger device (Stax, Namo S or Nano X) with your recovery phrase and PIN.
- Make sure both the firmware for your chosen Ledger device and your downloaded/installed Ledger Live app are the latest versions available.
Step #2: Download and Install Ethereum App on Your Preferred Ledger Device
- Have your preferred Ledger device connected to your mobile device or personal computer.
- Launch the Ledger Live app then scroll to the Manager tab.
- In the app catalog section, search for and find the Ethereum app.
- Click or tap on the Install button beside the Ethereum app.
- Be patient and wait until the Ethereum app is successfully installed on your mobile device or personal computer.
Step #3: Launch Ledger Live and Add in an Ethereum Account
- Launch Ledger Live and navigate to the Accounts tab.
- Click or tap on the Add Account tab.

- Click or tap Ethereum from the drop-down menu.
- Adhere to the on-screen instructions to both connect your preferred Ledger device and to create a personal Ethereum account.
Step #4: Transfer DAI to Your Ethereum Wallet Address
- Either scan the QR code or copy out your Ethereum wallet address directly from your newly created Ethereum account on the Ledger Live app.
- Transfer DAI from any wallet or exchange to your copied Ethereum wallet address.
Step #5: OpenLedger Live to View DAI Tokens
- Launch Ledger Live and scroll to and open up your Ethereum account.
- You should view the transferred DAI tokens in your Ethereum account as it will appear automatically after a transaction is made.
- Where the DAI tokens are not shown in your Ethereum account, simply click or tap on the Manage Tokens tab then toggle on or enable DAI tokens.
Step #6: Ratify Your DAI Token Balance
- Confirm that the DAI balance available in your Ethereum account on Ledger Live is exactly what was transferred.
