How to Store ARB on Ledger Live

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to store ARB (Arbitrum) tokens on Ledger Live with your preferred Ledger device. Note that ARB token is not native to Ledger Live, but is operational on the Ethereum blockchain as an ERC-20 token. 

Please download the last update of Ledger Live Application:

1. Ledger Live for Windows 10/11

2. Ledger Live for MAC

3. Ledger Live for Android

Step #1: Initialize the set Up of Your Preferred Ledger Device

  • Have your preferred Ledger device (Stax, Nano S, or Nano X) connected to your mobile device or personal computer. 
  • Make sure that your Ledger Live app and Ledger device firmware are the latest versions available.

Step #2: Download and Install the Ledger Live App

  • Launch Ledger Live then scroll to My Ledger to search for and find the Ethereum app.
  • Click or tap on the Install button while your preferred Ledger device is both connected and the PIN unlocked.

Step #3: Add Ethereum Account

  • Launch the Ledger Live app and scroll to the Accounts tab. 
  • Click and tap on Add Account then choose Ethereum.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to add Ethereum.

Step #4: Get ARB Token from Arbitrum Network

  • ARB tokens are operational on the Arbitrum Layer 2 network. Therefore, a compatible and reliable wallet such as MetaMask is needed.
  • Initiate the setup of MetaMask then add Arbitrum network. You can get the Arbitrum network details on the official Arbitrum website.

Step #5: Connect Your  Ledger Device to MetaMask

  • Launch MetaMask then scroll to Settings and choose Connect Hardware Wallet.
  • Select Ledger and follow the on-screen prompts that show you how to connect your preferred Ledger device.

Step #6: Proceed to Receive ARB Tokens

  • Make use of Ledger-MetaMask wallet to check out your Arbitrum address. 
  • Send ARB tokens to your Arbitrum address right from another wallet or exchange. 

Notes:

  • Make sure to always cross-check all addresses in your Ledger device before you transfer or receive cryptocurrencies.
  • Make sure you store your recovery phrase safe and secure offline. 
  • Keep your MetaMask, Ledger device firmware and Ledger Live app updated at all times for security reasons.

With this set-up, your ARB tokens will be securely and safely stored as well as managed via your Ledger hardware wallet.
