This guide will show you how to store ADA (Cardano) on Ledger Live using your respective Ledger device.

Step #1: Initiate the Set Up of Your Respective Ledger Device
- Create a Personal Identity Number or PIN to start the set up of your respective Ledger device which can be Stax, Nano S, or Nano X.
- Scribble down the 24-word recovery phrase displayed and keep it safe.
Step #2: Download and the Install Ledger Live App
- You can download the Ledger Live app directly from the official Ledger website.
- Next, install the Ledger Live app on either your mobile device or personal computer.
Step #3: Install Cardano (ADA) App
- Launch the Ledger Live app and scroll over to the Manager tab.
- Connect your respective Ledger device to your mobile phone or computer using a standard USB cable or Bluetooth as in the case with Nano X.
- While in the Manager tab, use the search window to look for Cardano (ADA) under the app catalog.

- Click or tap the Install button to add the Cardano (ADA) app to your respective Ledger device.
Step #4: Add a Cardano Account in the Ledger Live App
- While in the Ledger Live app, scroll over to Accounts tab and click or tap the Add Account option.

- From the drop-down menu, choose Cardano (ADA) then click or tap the continue button to proceed.
- Launch the Cardano app directly on your respective Ledger device when prompted.
- Your Cardano (ADA) account will be synchronized with the blockchain by the Ledger Live app.
- Provide a name for your Cardano (ADA) account then click or tap the Add Account option.

Step #5: Proceed to Receive ADA
- While on the Ledger Live app, scroll to the Accounts tab and choose your Cardano (ADA) account.
- Click or tap the Receive button.
- Once prompted, launch the Cardano app on your respective Ledger device.
- Copy out the wallet address that is shown in the Ledger Live app.
- Confirm that the wallet address shown on your respective Ledger device corresponds with the address displayed in the Ledger Live app.
- You can share the wallet address with the individual sending ADA or you can make use of the wallet address to withdraw ADA from any exchange.
Step #6: Ratify the Transaction
- The ADA sent to your wallet address will be displayed in your Ledger Live account once you scale through necessary network confirmations.
- Now your ADA is securely and safely stored on your respective Ledger device.
Notes:
- The amount of ADA needed as payment fees for transactions are comparatively low. However, you should always be mindful of having ADA available in your wallet in order to effect the payment of transaction fees in the future.
- Make sure you verify the wallet address before you send ADA to your Ledger wallet.
- Be careful not to disclose your 24-word recovery phrase to any individual.
