How to stake INJ, Injective with Ledger Wallet

Staking Injective (INJ) tokens with Ledger wallet is currently possible. You can passively grow your assets by participating in Injective staking to earn rewards.

By delegating your Injective (INJ) tokens to a validator, you will receive rewards for helping to secure the network. The quantity of rewards you may receive depends on the amount you staked. But keep in mind that there are gas fees.

This tutorial describes how to stake Injective (INJ) with your Ledger wallet.

Please download the last update of Ledger Live Application:

Before you start

Update the Ledger device to the latest firmware version.
Update the Ledger Live app to the latest version.
Make sure that you installed the Injective (INJ) app on your Ledger device.
- Connect and unlock your Ledger device.
- Open Ledger Live and go to My Ledger. “If asked, allow access to My Ledger by pressing both buttons on your Ledger device simultaneously.”
- Navigate to My Ledger, click on the App Catalog, and search for Injective (INJ). Once located click on it to Install.
- Wait for the installation process to finish. Now you have installed the Injective (INJ) app on your Ledger device.
If you already have the Injective app on your Ledger device, update it to the latest version.

Note: Before beginning this tutorial, make sure that the Injective (Polygon) (INJ) token you want to stake is stored in your Ledger Injective (INJ) account.

Connect your Ledger wallet to Hub Injective

Go to Injective.com
Navigate to individuals and click on Staking INJ.

You’ll be redirected to the INJ staking website: “Hub.injective.network/staking/”
Click on Connect on the page.

Choose Ledger from the list of options and click on it.

Choose a derivation path and click on Get addresses.

Connect your Ledger device and unlock it. Open your Ethereum app: wait till it displays that the application is ready.
Once you’ve connected your Ledger device successfully, you’ll see a list of validators to choose from.

Click on Details to view the details of a validator such as voting power, commission rate, and the total amount of INJ already staked by delegators.
Click on Delegate Now beside a validator to stake your Injective (Polygon) (INJ) token.
Enter the amount of INJ you want to delegate and click on Delegate. Keep in mind that you’ll have to pay a certain amount of INJ as gas fees.

You’ll be prompted to sign the transaction on your Ledger device. Check your device and ensure everything looks good before signing a transaction.
Now you’ve successfully staked INJ.

Claiming your INJ Staking rewards

Once you have staked your INJ, your rewards will start accruing. You can monitor your rewards in the staking section of Injective Hub and once you have earned a sufficient amount of rewards, you may claim it at any time.

You can claim your delegation rewards from the Wallet page, under the Delegation Rewards section. Click on the Claim button and sign the transaction, your staking rewards will be added to your Ledger Injective (INJ) account.

Unbond (Unstake & Undelegate) your INJ

To unstake your INJ tokens, go to your staking dashboard and locate the delegation which you want to unbond.

Beside the validator’s name, click on Unbond. Verify and approve the transaction. Your previously staked tokens will be returned to your balance.

Note: Keep in mind that the unstaking period takes 21 days to complete.

Redelegate your Staked INJ

By choosing to Redelegate your staked INJ, your previously staked INJ will be transferred from one validator to another without you (the delegator) waiting for the 21-day unstaking period. Redelegation of already staked INJ happens instantaneously.
