You can create more accounts on Ledger Live for each crypto asset and assign them different names. For every account you add, Ledger Live gets its public key from your Ledger device.

This makes it easy to check your balance whenever you want because your public addresses are stored on the device (computer or smartphone) you use in running the Ledger Live app.
Please download the last update of Ledger Live Application:
1. Ledger Live for Windows 10/11
2. Ledger Live for MAC
3. Ledger Live for Android
Before you start
- Install Ledger Live on your computer and make sure it’s ready to use.
- Make sure the crypto asset is supported on Ledger Live.
- Make sure the crypto asset app is installed on your Ledger device. For instance, if you’re going to create accounts to store ERC20 tokens, you’ll need the Ethereum app.
Solution: Create multiple accounts
- Open the Ledger Live app

- On the left side of the screen, click on accounts

- Click on add account

- Click on the box to open up a drop-down list. Navigate to the crypto asset you want to add and click on it. (For instance, I choose Bitcoin)

- Once you have chosen a crypto asset to add, click on continue to proceed.

- Connect and unlock your Ledger device. Open the crypto app of the asset you selected at the beginning of the process and click on continue.
For instance, I choose to add a Bitcoin account. So I’ll now open the Bitcoin app on the Ledger device.

- Wait for the synchronization process to finish.

- Now, Ledger Live will look for existing accounts in the blockchain and display them one by one. For accounts under the “add new account” section, you can tick the tiny box beside the new account name to add it. Then click on the added crypto asset name to rename it.

- Once you’ve renamed the asset name, click on the “add account” button to complete the process. Now you’ve successfully added an account.

- When you go back to the accounts menu, the newly created account will be visible and you can now manage it further from there.

Note: Once you add a new account for a crypto asset, you’ll need to have completed a transaction on that asset before you can add another account for that crypto asset.
