Before you start
- Download and install the latest version of Ledger Live.
- Ensure your Ledger Nano S / Nano S Plus / Nano X runs the latest OS version.
- Download and install the Solana app on your Ledger device.
Connect ledger device to third-party Solflare to manage Bio Protocol (BIO) tokens
- Go to Solflare.com
- Click on Access Wallet or download it to your mobile or desktop device.
- Select Ledger.
- Connect your Ledger device to your computer and open the Solana app. Wait till the application displays ready on the screen. Click Continue then select your Ledger device model and click Connect.
- Choose a password and click Continue.
- Choose a derivation path with your Solana (SOL) tokens. In most cases, it’s always the m/44’/501’/0′ derivation path.
- Choose your Solana (SOL) account then click on Continue.
Now your Ledger Solana (SOL) account should be visible with the correct available balance on the Solflare Wallet.
From your Ledger Solflare account, you can easily manage your io.net tokens. You only need your Solana address on Solflare to receive Bio Protocol (BIO) tokens.
Connect ledger device to third-party Trust Wallet to manage Bio Protocol (BIO) tokens
- Go to Chrome Web Store and install the Trust Wallet extension.
- Open the extension.
- Select Ledger as the method of connection.
- Select the password and click Proceed.
- Connect Ledger with your computer and open the Ethereum app.
- Click Connect.
- Select one or more addresses you want to add. Once you are finished, click Continue.
- Click View Wallet now.
You should see your portfolio in the Trust Wallet now.
How to add $BIO to Trust Wallet with Ledger device
Adding $BIO to a Ledger Trust Wallet is a simple process. Follow these steps to ensure that your new token is properly integrated into your wallet:
1. Open Trust Wallet App Or Browser Extension
- Launch the Trust Wallet app on your mobile device.
- Make sure that you’re using your Ledger Trust Wallet account.
- On the main screen, tap the “+” button on the top right.
- Next, click the “+” button option to start adding a new token.
If you’re using the browser extension, follow these steps:
- Open the Trust Wallet browser extension.
- On the main screen, scroll to the bottom and click on the “Manage Crypto” button.
- Next, click the “+” button option to start adding a new token.
2. Adding $BIO Tokens
- Choose the correct blockchain network from the dropdown menu which can be Ethereum.
3. Enter Token Details
- Contract Address (0xcb1592591996765ec0efc1f92599a19767ee5ffa): Input the token’s contract address. This is a unique identifier for the $BIO token on the blockchain. You can find this information on the $BIO token’s official website or block explorer here: —
- Token Name: Enter the full name of the token: Bio Protocol
- Token Symbol: Enter the token’s symbol: BIO
- Decimals: Input the number of decimals the token uses. This is typically found along with the contract address.
4. Import $BIO Token
- Review the details you’ve entered to ensure they are correct.
- Tap “Import” to complete the process.
Now you’ve successfully imported the $BIO token to your Ledger Trust Wallet.
