If you encounter this issue while trying to send or swap your crypto, it’s because you don’t have enough balance in the native coin account to pay for the network fees.

"PARENT ACCOUNT BALANCE IS INSUFFICIENT FOR NETWORK FEES" ERROR MESSAGE — Ledger Live

For instance, send USDC tokens in your Ethereum account, you’ll need to have some ETH in your balance to pay for the network fees — otherwise, you’ll receive the error message “PARENT ACCOUNT BALANCE IS INSUFFICIENT FOR NETWORK FEES“.

Please download the last update of Ledger Live Application:

1. Ledger Live for Windows 10/11

2. Ledger Live for MAC

3. Ledger Live for Android

To fix this

  1. Buy some Ethereum (ETH) directly in Ledger Live, which can be from Coinify. 
  2. Transfer some ETH to the ETH account containing the tokens you want to send or swap initially.

Once you’ve bought enough ETH directly in Ledger Live or transferred from an exchange into the ETH account containing the tokens you want to send or swap, you can easily process your transactions.
