Similar to adding other BTC account types in Ledger Live, you can add a Bitcoin Taproot account. Taproot contains Bitcoin’s latest and significant network upgrade since 2017, so these improvements are incredibly worth having a Taproot account in Ledger Live.

Please download the last update of Ledger Live Application:

3. Ledger Live for Android

Before you start

• Update your Ledger Live app to the latest version.
• Make sure that your Ledger device is running the latest firmware version.

Create a Bitcoin Taproot account in Ledger Live

• Open the Ledger Live app
• Connect your Ledger device
• Navigate to the Accounts tab and click on the Add account button.

• Click on the box to activate a drop-down menu and select Bitcoin (BTC). Click Continue.

• Wait for Ledger Live to show accounts. Click on show all address types, select Taproot account, click Add account then Done.

• You have successfully added a Bitcoin Taproot account.
