this tutorial describes connecting your Ledger Nano X to Rainbow wallet on mobile via Bluetooth.
Please note that the Rainbow app is no longer available in Ledger Live’s ‘Discover’ section but you can still use the Ledger-compatible Rainbow third-party app connected to your Ledger Nano X device.

Ledger Nano S Plus support
At present, the Rainbow wallet exclusively supports Ledger Nano X devices. Please revisit this page later for any updates.

Before you start
- Download and install the latest version of Ledger live.
- Make sure your Ledger device runs the latest firmware.
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your Ledger device settings.

Install the Ethereum (ETH) app on your Ledger device
- Open My Ledger in Ledger Live.
- Connect and unlock your Ledger device.
- If asked, allow My Ledger to access your device.
- Search for Ethereum (ETH) in the app catalog.
- Click the Install button of the app.
Connect your Ledger to Rainbow wallet
- Connect your Ledger Nano X and unlock it.
- Go to https://rainbow.me/ and download the Rainbow app for your OS.
- Open the app and select Get a new wallet to create a standalone Rainbow wallet.
- Tap the down arrow button to open the settings then select Pair a Ledger Nano X.
- On your Ledger device, hold both buttons to access the Control Center then navigate to the Bluetooth icon and make sure the word Enabled is displayed.
- On your Ledger, go back to the dashboard then tap Pair a new Ledger.
- If prompted, grant Rainbow app permission to access Bluetooth from your phone Bluetooth settings then go back to the app and tap Pair a new Ledger again.
- Once your Ledger is connected, select Next.
- You can skip enabling blind signing for now and select Finish importing.
- On your Ledger device, press both buttons to open the Ethereum (ETH) app. Your Ledger screen should display the words: Application is ready.
- Name your Ledger wallet then select Import Wallet.
Your Ledger wallet appears in the app.
Rainbow will automatically display your assets on Arbitrum, Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum, Optimism, and Polygon.
To view your NFTs, scroll down to the Collectibles section and select a collection to see your NFTs.
