Yes, whenever you are sending XRP from Ledger Live, it’s important to include the destination tag/ID. That’s because exchanges need the destination tag/ID to credit your deposit to the right account.
- I forgot to include a destination tag to my transaction, what can I do?
Even though it’s important to include a destination tag/ID in your transaction, the XRP you sent with a destination tag/ID is not lost. There’s a way to recover your funds and this includes contacting the exchange support where you sent your XRP with the transaction ID. Your XRP will be recovered and credited to the right account.
- I just received a very small XRP transaction, what happened?
Receiving a small XRP transaction that you didn’t initiate in your Ledger XRP account could be a scheme used by a hacker to attack your account and spy on the account’s activity. In this case, it’s advisable to ignore everything and continue using your account normally. Don’t click on any links!
