If you are trying to add new accounts, send, receive, or swap Bitcoin (BTC), you may receive the error “CANNOT READ PROPERTY ‘ACCOUNT’ OF UNDEFINED”, if Ledger Live encounters a problem. This can be a connection problem caused by another app on your device.

Please download the last update of Ledger Live Application:

1. Ledger Live for Windows 10/11

2. Ledger Live for MAC

3. Ledger Live for Android

To fix this

  • Update the firmware of your Ledger Nano device, if there’s an update available.
  • Update your Ledger Live app to the latest version.
  • Update all the outdated apps on your Ledger device.
  • Clear cache in Ledger Live.
    • To do this: go to “Settings”
    • Click on “Help”
    • Find the Clear cache option and click on it.
    • Confirm to clear the cache.

Note: If the issue persists after trying the above solutions, uninstall the Ledger Live app on your device and reinstall it again by downloading the latest version from the Ledger website. Re-add your asset accounts back and try to perform a transaction from your Bitcoin (BTC) again.
