WalletConnect is an open-source protocol that allows you to securely connect mobile wallets to decentralized applications (dApps). You can use Wallet Connect to link Ledger Live to a wide range of dApps from desktop and mobile devices.
In addition to WalletConnect, Ledger Live also offers direct access to a growing list of dApps in the Discover section.
Wallet Connect Updates – March 5, 2023 – v2 just released!
With the latest version (v2), you can now connect multiple accounts simultaneously. This means you no longer have to switch between accounts, saving you time and streamlining your experience.
Secondly, v2 also enables you to connect to multiple decentralized applications (dApps) at the same time. This new feature offers more flexibility and convenience, allowing you to access different dApps without disconnecting from others.
Lastly, we’re happy to report that connection issues experienced in v1 have been resolved. Our team has worked hard to ensure that customers encounter fewer problems when using WalletConnect. As a result, you can enjoy a smoother and more seamless experience connecting to your accounts and dApps.
However, please be aware that for a WalletConnect connection to function, the service or third-party app you wish to connect your Ledger to must support WalletConnect v2. If it doesn’t, you won’t be able to use WalletConnect and will need to explore alternative connection methods, such as MetaMask connected to your Ledger device.
